The Heavy Shake profile offers the rugged, natural look of heavy cut cedar shakes with all the benefits of engineered metal. Like the European Tile, it installs over a 2 x 2 batten system, allowing for proper ventilation and installation over most existing roofs.
Heavy Shake installs on 12.5-inch centers, making it an excellent choice for steep-sloped or non-walkable roofs (over 36.5°). The system is installed from ridge to eave, which also makes it easy to replace individual panels if they’re ever damaged — for example, by falling debris.
