Ironwood e-Panel Solar Roofing System
The Ironwood e-Panel is an advanced photovoltaic roof shingle designed to combine permanent metal roofing with clean, renewable solar energy. Engineered by RARE Manufacturing, this integrated solar roofing system works seamlessly with the company’s Ironwood Shake metal roofing profile, creating a consistent and attractive finished roof without the bulky appearance of traditional rack-mounted solar panels.
Each Ironwood e-Panel uses high-efficiency monocrystalline silicon solar cells to capture sunlight and convert it into renewable electricity for the building. The electrical connections are safely enclosed beneath the roofing panels, helping protect critical components from rain, snow, wind and other outside elements.
Designed to Integrate with Ironwood Shake
Ironwood e-Panels feature an interlocking design with concealed fasteners for a clean, streamlined appearance and dependable weather protection. The solar shingles can be incorporated into a new Ironwood Shake roof or added to an existing Ironwood Shake roofing system, provided the roof has a minimum slope of 3:12.
Because the solar panels are designed as part of the roofing system, they blend naturally with the surrounding Ironwood Shake panels. This allows homeowners to generate clean electricity while maintaining the architectural appearance, strength and long-term performance of a premium metal roof.
