This profile was designed in-house by RARE to replicate the refined, old-world appearance of natural slate. Manufactured using the same high-quality base metal as our other roofing products. this profile features an interlocking, hidden fastener system, just like our Ironwood Shake. The hip and ridge cap also interlock, with each cap covering the fasteners on the previously installed cap for a clean, durable finish.
With a minimum slope requirement of 3/12, Ironstone Slate can be installed over a solid sheeted deck, partially filled-in skip sheathing, or even over existing asphalt-subject to local building codes. This profile is available in a variety of colour options, as shown below.
